West Cork Geology: A guided walk in Coomhola
A guided geology walk in Coomhola with Dr Ronan Hennessy (UCC). The origins and events that shaped the surrounding landscape will be explored, from the Coomhola River to the surrounding mountains.
Ronan has worked on county geological heritage projects the length and breadth of Ireland and has published several books on geological heritage.
The walk will start at the small car park near Coomhola Bridge (link to location provided on booking). The terrain underfoot includes unsurfaced paths so wear walking boot or strong shoes. Dress appropriately for the weather. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
