Photograph of seaweed specimen Fucus viridis (Desmarestia viridis) 23rd April 1807, collected at Bocarna Point in Glengarriff Harbour, by Ellen Hutchins (1785-1815), Ireland’s First Female Botanist. On Ellen’s Plant List prepared for the Linnean Society, she says that she also found it on rocks at Ardnaturris and on Whiddy Island.

Limited Edition photographic print run of 202 issued for the exhibition Celebrating Ellen Hutchins for the School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin, which opened on 9th February 2017 the 202nd anniversary of Ellen’s death. It is supplied unmounted on good quality A4 paper, matt finish. A back sheet gives information about the image.
